CBSE declares NEET 2017 Results, available on official website

NEET 2017 Results

The results of NEET 2017, which decides admissions into MBBS and BDS, have been declared by the CBSE.

About 11.5 lakh students appeared for the May 7 exam: 10.5 lakh in Hindi or English and the rest in eight vernacular languages.

Results are available on www.cbseneet.nic.in. Candidates will have to enter their examination roll number.

Shortlisted candidates will now be called for counseling.

CandidatesQualified candidates will be eligible for admission in premier institutes

On the report card, students will be shown their total marks in physics, chemistry and biology, overall percentage, all India rank, category rank, cut-off, and whether they have cleared the NEET or not.

Those who qualify will be eligible for admission under reserved seats in a number of government medical and dental colleges, including in Banaras Hindu University and Aligarh Muslim University.

Navdeep Singh from Punjab has topped the NEET 2017 with a score of 697 out of a maximum possible total of 720.

Second topper Archit Gupta from Madhya Pradesh came second in the AIIMS MBBS Entrance Exam too. Both he and third-rank holder Manish Mulchandani scored 695.

Among the top 25, there are nine girls and 16 boys.

DelayInordinate delay in declaration of results this time

Earlier, CBSE said results would be declared on June 22. However, the message was withdrawn at noon on the said day.

This time, the results were also delayed due to a hearing on alleged variations in question papers of different languages. After the Madras HC stayed the declaration of results, the SC finally cleared the way for CBSE on June 13.
