Substantial proof against Chatterjee: Kolkata Police
The high speed of the car was proof that it was a deliberate act by Vikram, said Kolkata Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Vishal Garg.
Garg also said that the unusual speed of the car just before the crash proved that the car was not in driver's control.
Any laboratory evidence to prove Chatterjee's inebriated condition could not be confirmed.
Are Trinamool Party leaders trying to save Chatterjee?
It is being widely speculated that actor Vikram Chatterjee is being shielded by Trinamool Congress Party leaders as some of them control the Tollywood film industry.
Another Tollywood actress and state BJP leader Locket Chatterjee too suggested that TMC leaders were pressuring the police to slow down the case.
Locket Chatterjee further claimed that Vikram got a bail earlier because of TMC's involvement.
