Decorating your abode is one of the best feelings ever.
Although it comes at a cost, but if you are high on creativity quotient and are willing to devote some time and effort, you can beautify your house without spending much.
Yes, you can make your home look dapper, without upsetting your budget.
Here are 8 ways to decorate your home rather frugally.
Place mats: Pick up some old place mats, punch/drill two holes at the top of each place mat. Connect them with a string, and use them to decorate an entire wall.
Jewelry and frames: Gather a couple of small photo frames, cover the insides of the frames with decorative paper, put some old/cheap artificial jewelry in them, and finally hang them on the wall.
Button up: Get a collection of old/cheap buttons and create simple designs using them, by pasting them using a strong adhesive on a furniture piece or one of your walls.
Gift paper cuff: Use cheap yet pretty gift-wrap paper and use it to create beautiful tiebacks for your curtains. Use ribbons to hold the tieback in place.
Charging station: Drill a hole on the back of an old box or chest. Then, place a wooden shelf with holes inside it, for charging chords. There, you have a handy charging station ready.
Book shelf: Simply mount up two brackets on the wall and start piling up all your favorite books to create a makeshift book shelf without using up your precious savings.
Bulletin board: Take an old drawer or dresser. Paint it nicely. Then, cut a corkboard, fit it inside and glue it well. Cover it with paper. Hang it on the wall, and pin whatever you wish.
Key holder: Take out an old drawer. Screw up cup hooks on the inside of the drawer. Then place it on the wall, and start hanging your keys.
