The Jolly Grant airport in Dehradun is the nearest to the hill town and you can easily get a cab directly to Auli from there.
That apart, buses for Joshimath are easily available in all major cities of Uttarakhand. Then, from Joshimath, you can then simply board a local bus to Auli.
