Mumbai: Union Minister Athawale's 12-year-old son's entry into politics
While it is not uncommon for politicians to hand over the baton to their children, Union Minister of State for Social Justice Ramdas Athawale did something that has stunned everyone.
Athawale launched the "Children's Wing" of his Republican Party of India (Athawale) in Mumbai.
What's even more shocking is that he made his 12-year-old son Jeet the head of the newly-formed wing.

RPI(A) yet to announce domain of Children's Wing
Jeet Athawale, a school going kid, has already appointed other leaders (children) of the RPI(A) Children's Wing for Mumbai's Chembur region, which has a significant Dalit population.
The party has not yet announced the wing's domain and the issues it would be dealing with.
Athawale's RPI(A) is an ally of NDA; it reportedly wields influence in Maharashtra's Dalit landscape.
