Jet Airways' Diwali bonanza: Non-stop Mumbai-Manchester flights, four times/week
Mumbai-based private carrier Jet Airways has a special Diwali gift for its UK-bound passengers.
The flights will run on Monday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday and Jet's 254-seater Airbus A-330 will be used for this purpose.
Manchester becomes 21st International spot in the aircraft's network of 65 destinations.

Mumbai-Manchester flight would make Jet largest carrier in India-UK route
Based on local-time hours, the 9W 130 flight will depart from Mumbai at 2:30am and reach Manchester's Terminal 2 at 7:55am, while the return 9W 129 flight will start from Manchester at 9:35am that will touch down Mumbai at 4:00am.
Jet already runs non-stop daily Delhi-Heathrow flights and a thrice-daily Mumbai-Heathrow flight.
The Mumbai-Manchester flight will thus make it largest carrier in India-UK route.

On-board facilities: Choose preferred meal, watch TV, get updated
A single A330-200 aircraft will have 254 seats, with 18 in the premiere class.
The passengers will have several entertainment options like movies, popular TV shows and shorts, business news along with Inflight Entertainment system - JetScreen.
Through 'Dine Anytime', they would also be able to choose their preferred meal aboard the flight.
The new route will especially be helpful to the business travelers.

"With the new flight, Jet will have over 8,000 seats on offer every week, making it increasingly convenient for both business as well as leisure travelers, travelling between India and the UK, deepening commerce as well as tourism ties," said Vinay Dube, CEO, Jet Airways.

Increase in cargo-capacity too by 15 tons
Apart from travelers, the new route will also aid in the increase of the carrier's cargo capacity.
Daily cargo capacity of Jet Airways "between Mumbai and Delhi to the UK will be 115 tons in each direction," read the company's press release.
Commodities like perishables, pharmaceuticals, engineering goods, garments and fabrics, foodstuffs, as well as specialized medical equipment can now be transported directly.
