Maharashtra: Internet speed at Police stations to be stepped up
The home-department of the Maharashtra Government has decided to invest Rs. 9cr to bump up the internet speed across 1,054 police stations of Maharashtra.
The plan is to raise the speed of the internet from 512kbps to 2Mbps.
The plan needs to be approved after being presented in the budget on 18th March.

Holi: Holi sees substantial decrease in drunk driving
Holi in Mumbai this year witnessed a 31% drop in the number of traffic offences committed by the residents.
Till 8 pm Monday, altogether 4,621 traffic offences were reported, down from 6,700 offences registered last year.
According to the police, the installation of closed-circuit televisions (CCTVs) and speed cameras has made people more aware leading to the decreased traffic nuisances.

Weather: Minimum temperature dropped by 7 degree Celsius
According to weathermen, due to changes in wind pattern, the city of Mumbai has observed a sudden drop in its minimum temperatures in 2 days.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) at Santacruz registered Monday's minimum temperature at 15.2 degrees Celsius (5.9 degrees below normal).
The IMD at Colaba recorded the same at 21 degrees Celsius (1.5 degrees below normal).
