The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday released a list of two candidates for Delhi for the Lok Sabha elections.
Former cricketer Gautam Gambhir is going to be contesting from the East Delhi Lok Sabha constituency, according to the BJP's list. Meanwhile, Meenakshi Lekhi would be contesting from the New Delhi parliamentary constituency in the elections.
BJP earlier announced names of four candidates for Delhi
Earlier on Sunday, BJP had released a list of four candidates for Delhi. Sitting MPs have been retained by the party with Harsh Vardhan contesting from Chandni Chowk, Manoj Tiwari from North East Delhi, Ramesh Bidhuri from South Delhi, and Pravesh Verma from West Delhi.
The Lok Sabha elections in Delhi will be held on May 12 for all of the seven parliamentary seats under the Phase 6 of the General Elections. The counting of votes will be held on May 23 and results will be declared the same day.
