A senior minister of the UP government has come under the harsh glare of the Supreme Court.

Details: Prajapati allegedly raped woman while offering party membership
A 35-year old woman from Chitrakoot alleged that Prajapati raped her when she met him three years ago.
Prajapati reportedly clicked obscene photos of her and then blackmailed her. He continued to rape her for two years.
Reportedly, she was sexually abused under pretence of being given a good position in SP.
She decided to speak out when he started abusing her daughter.
Power abuse: Police inaction delayed arrest of minister
The victim alleged that police refused to file an FIR when she approached them. She then took the case to the SC.
In the meantime, he was sacked from the ministry, but then reinstated.
When cops eventually reached his house after the court's rebuke, he was missing. He remained absconding for two weeks before being arrested from Lucknow in mid-March.
