Mulayam lashes out at son Akhilesh

Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Mulayam Singh Yadav hit out against son and former UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, saying he was "humiliated and betrayed" by Akhilesh.

"When he [Akhilesh] does not respect his father, how will people respect him?" Mulayam said.

Mulayam's statement reflects the animosity between the father-son duo following the SP's defeat in the recent UP elections by the BJP.
