#Holi2018: These waterproof smartphones will survive the splash
Holi - the festival of colors, pichkaris, and water balloons - is just around the corner.
It's a time for celebration, but these colors and balloons can be a spoilsport for smartphones.
However, having a handset that's protected against water and dust will not only ensure a worry-free Holi but will also capture some "colorful" memories.
Know which phones can 'survive' your Holi celebrations.
Understanding the IP rating for smartphones
Handsets that come with IP67 and IP68 rating have waterproof abilities.
IP67 rating means that the devices can withstand up to 1m of submersion in water for 30 minutes while devices with IP68 rating can be underwater at depths of up to 1.5m for 30 minutes.
IP67 and IP68 rated phones are resistant to dust, general-dirt, and sand.
Here's a list of such smartphones.
