Micromax has launched its Bharat 5 Pro smartphone in India.

The phone appears to take on Xiaomi's Redmi 5, which also launched in the Indian market on the same day. In fact, the two phones also share the same price tag of Rs. 7,999.

The company said, "Bharat 5 Pro will surely offer a complete package to the consumers at a very affordable price."

The biggest USP of the phone is its 5,000 mAh battery. It sports a reverse charging feature that converts the smartphone into a power bank.

The dual-SIM phone features a 5.2-inch HD display, 3 GB of RAM, a 13MP rear camera, and a 5MP front camera.

In comparison, the Redmi 5's base model with the same price tag features 2 GB of RAM.

The Micromax Bharat 5 Pro runs the Android Nougat operating system and is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor.

The battery can deliver up to two days of usage. Other highlights of the phone include a face unlock feature and LED flash for both cameras.
