Pokemon Go players have a new reason to cheer.
The mythical Pokemon Celebi, who was first introduced to players who attended the Go Fest in Chicago, will now be available to all from August 20.
Niantic, the game developers, made this announcement recently.
This marks the arrival of second mythical Pokemon.
Players have to complete a special task in order to capture Celebi.
Celebi can't be traded and all players have to complete the quest to capture it.
Quest details will be different from the one at the Chicago fest.
But, players have to complete tasks, gain XP, and battle Pokemon. They can only start this if they have completed the Mew quest.
Fans, who have Celebi from the event, will get Candy to power it up.
Players should go over the previous quest details to get a better understanding.
At the live event, for capturing Celebi, players had to do the following.
They had to hatch an egg, earn buddy candy and visit Pokestops.
They also had to capture a Minun, a Unown, and a Plusle.
Players would then get a story hinting at time-traveling ability of Celebi.
Besides the joy of capturing a mythical Pokemon, what are the powers of Celebi?
A grass and psychic type Pokemon, Celebi is resistant to fighting, ground and electric types of Pokemon.
However, it is vulnerable to dark, poison, fire and ghost.
The attacks include hyper-beam, charge-beam, confusion. The first attack is the strongest.
Its attack and stats render it rather ineffective in serious battle.
With this, Pokemon Go has already introduced two mythical Pokemons in the Johto region.
Mew was introduced sometime back, and Celebi is appearing in three days time.
The other two mythical Pokemon, we might see soon are Jirachi and Deoxys.
They are third-generation Pokemons and the former is a steel-psychic type. The latter is a purely psychic.
Their attack-range make both these Pokemons promising!
