According to official teasers, we know Realme 2 will debut a notched display, a dual rear camera setup and a fingerprint sensor - all three features missing on its predecessor.
Recently, the company also confirmed that Realme 2 will feature a 6.2-inch full-HD+ display to boast an 88.8% screen-to-body ratio, thanks to the notch.
In terms of optics, the Realme 2 will sport a dual rear camera setup comprising a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor, along with an LED flash.
In comparison, the Realme 1 features a single 13-megapixel primary camera with LED flash.
Up front, the Realme 2 may borrow the 8MP selfie snapper from its predecessor.
However, none of them gave any details about the chipset.
Now, considering the Realme 1 comes with a MediaTek Helio P60 processor and that the Realme 2 is "a notch above" its predecessor, we can expect the latest Snapdragon 660 processor on the upcoming smartphone.
Firstly, the company has confirmed that Realme 2 will pack a bigger 4,230mAh battery as against 3,410mAh battery on the Realme 1.
Further, we know the Realme 1 comes with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. Hence, Realme 2 will have at least these specs, if not an upgrade in this department.
The Realme 2 is set to launch in India on August 28 at 12:30pm.
Moreover, as mentioned before, the phone will be exclusive to Flipkart as against its predecessor which was sold via Amazon.
Moreover, the launch event will be streamed live via Realme's website and its official social media accounts on Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and Instagram.
