Is Lenovo Z5s world's first smartphone with camera hole design
Lenovo, and not Samsung, is all set to launch the world's first smartphone with a camera hole design.
The Chinese tech giant has confirmed to unveil its Lenovo Z5s on December 6 - four days ahead of Samsung's Galaxy A8s launch event.
The phone was recently leaked in a hands-on video, revealing the all-screen design with a center-positioned camera cut-out.
Here are the details.
Race to launch world's first smartphone with camera hole design
We know Samsung and Huawei were battling for the title of being the world's first company to launch a smartphone with a camera hole display.
Yesterday Huawei confirmed to launch its Nova 4 smartphone on December 17, while Samsung today announced to unveil its Galaxy A8s on December 10.
But, now Lenovo looks primed to bag the title by launching its Z5s on December 6.
Lenovo Z5s to offer all-screen design with center-positioned camera hole
Recently, Lenovo Z5s got leaked in a hands-on video, revealing a circular camera cut-out. The camera hole is similar to Galaxy A8s and Huawei Nova 4, but positioned in the center and not at the top-left corner.
Interestingly, the video also gave us our first look at this new camera hole design which appears to be less obtrusive than the current notches we have.
Lenovo Z5s was earlier spotted on TENAA, revealing key specifications
As per the listing, the Lenovo Z5s will feature a 6.4-inch display with 18:9 aspect ratio, a Huawei P20 Pro-like triple rear-camera setup, a single selfie snapper, a 3,210mAh battery, and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
Moreover, the phone is also rumored to feature the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8150 processor, but it's unlikely considering we haven't seen this chipset on any smartphone yet.

And, what to expect from the Huawei Nova 4
The Huawei Nova 4 will look pretty similar to the upcoming Galaxy A8s with a camera hole in the display for the front camera.
Further, renders suggest the phone will sport a triple rear-camera setup - much like the Huawei P20 Pro.
The phone is rumored to come with Kirin 980 processor, 6GB RAM, 128GB storage, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and run Android Pie.
