iOS 12.1.1: Here's what you'll get with Apple's latest update
Apple has started rolling out iOS 12.1.1 - the latest iteration of its operating system for iPhones and iPads.
The update is more of an incremental improvement with minor features and bug fixes rather than a major feature upgrade.
However, despite being subtle, the incoming changes can definitely improve your iOS experience.
Let's take a look at what has changed.
Camera flipping during FaceTime is easier, again
A few months back, Apple introduced a revamped FaceTime interface with iOS 12.
The redesign made it difficult for users to switch between front and rear-facing cameras during the call.
They had to open a menu to use the camera flipping option, which blocked the screen view.
However, with iOS 12.1.1, the camera switching button is back on the main call screen.
Plus, Live Photo capture is back
Another famous feature ditched with iOS 12 was Live Photo. It allowed users to capture animated photos during FaceTime calls but was removed with the introduction of Group FaceTime. Now, it's back, but can only be used during one-to-one calls and not group chats.

Additional carrier support for eSIM functionality
Along with FaceTime-related improvements, iOS 12.1.1 is also bringing support from additional carriers for the eSIM functionality.
Though the changelog doesn't mention the names of these carriers, the move would definitely increase the eSIM adoption rate, letting people use two networks on their new iPhones.
In India, only Reliance Jio and Airtel support eSIM, but Apple has promised to add more partners in 2019.
Other useful upgrades for iPhones and iPads
For iPhone Xr, Apple has added the long-awaited ability to get notification previews with Haptic Touch or a simple long-press.
Meanwhile, for iPads, the company has added the ability to hide the sidebar while using Apple News in landscape mode.
Also, some dictation bugs associated with Apple's VoiceOver feature have been fixed.
