Xiaomi's new charger can charge your phone in 17 minutes
While the camera and design aspects continue to dominate most of the conversation around smartphones, charging technology seldom gets the limelight.
However, this time, Xiaomi's fast charging technology is taking center stage. The Chinese tech giant has announced a 100W charger that can juice up a smartphone in just 17 minutes, making it the world's fastest smartphone charging technology yet.

In a Weibo post, Xiaomi CEO Lin Bin has shown off its 100W Super Charge technology competing against OPPO's Super VOOC Flash Charge.
While OPPO's 50W charging technology juiced up a 3,700mAh phone to 65% in 17 minutes, Xiaomi's 100W charging technology managed to fully charge a 4,000mAh battery in the same time - possibly a new record in smartphone-related fast charging technology.
