OnePlus 7 case renders highlight notch-less design, pop-up selfie camera
And as we inch closer to the launch, more and more leaks are coming our way.
In the latest development, new case renders have leaked online, revealing a notch-less, hole-less display, a pop-up selfie camera, triple rear cameras, and other new design tweaks.
Here's our roundup.
OnePlus 7 to offer an all-screen design, higher screen ratio
The new case renders reiterate OnePlus 7's new design we have seen in previous leaks and renders.
The phone will feature an all-screen look achieved by opting for a pop-up camera and hence, offer a higher screen-to-body ratio of over 90%.
Further, on the back, it will feature a vertically-stacked triple camera module along with a curved glass back and a metal frame.
What else is changing on the OnePlus 7?
Alongside the new design, OnePlus 7 will also get a bigger earpiece grille than OnePlus 6T's, possibly for packing a secondary speaker.
The alert slider is also repositioned closer to the power button while the SIM card tray has been moved from the left side to the bottom of the frame.
Lastly, there is a Type-C port, bottom speaker, and no headphone jack.
OnePlus 7's triple rear camera setup to include 48MP sensor
OnePlus 7 will also see an upgrade from 6T's dual-lens setup to a triple camera array.
Reportedly, it will be a 48MP+20MP+16MP setup. Up front, it will offer a 16MP (f/1.9) camera.
Previous renders also showed a couple of dots on the rear camera unit, suggesting support for laser autofocus. Moreover, the LED flash is now circular and not like 6T's pill-shaped unit.
Under the hood
According to previous leaks, OnePlus 7 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset, paired with upto 12GB RAM option and 256GB of internal storage.
Further, it is also expected to house a bigger 4,000mAh battery and support faster 44W Dash Charging.
Lastly, we already know that the phone won't support wireless charging and 5G network.
Cost of flagship
Pricing: Expect an uptick over OnePlus 6T's price tag
OnePlus 6T has outshined competitors with its successful mix of premium design, flagship performance, and an affordable price tag.
But given the design makeover, camera upgrade, and internal increment, OnePlus 7 might see an uptick of $50-100 over OnePlus 6T.
That said, the phone is sure to attract masses as it will still cost $300-400 less than a $1,000 Galaxy S10 or iPhone 11.
