OnePlus 7 Pro to get HDR, Nightscape 2.0 improvements soon

OnePlus 7 Pro, applauded for its fast performance and stunning display, has been marred with poor camera performance.

Several users of the flagship phone have reported issues like unnatural selfies, smudginess in zoomed images, as well as inaccurate color and contrast in pictures.

However, OnePlus has responded to these concerns, saying the upcoming firmware update will bring substantial improvements to the camera.

In response to the issues reported by users, OxygenOS Product Manager Jimmy Z has said that a new update bringing improvement in the HDR effect, Nightscape mode as well as some tweaks based on the feedback, is coming in a "week or so".

In his post, Jimmy also noted that the photos taken while testing the new firmware "look substantially better."

To recall, the OnePlus 7 Pro offers an uninterrupted all-screen design achieved by adopting a pop-up selfie camera. It boasts of a 93% screen-to-body ratio along with curved edges, an improved optical in-screen fingerprint sensor, and a premium metal-glass sandwiched body.

Further, the phone sports a 6.67-inch QHD+ (1440x3120 pixels) fluid AMOLED display, a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, a 90Hz refresh rate, and HDR10+ support.

In India, the OnePlus 7 Pro starts at Rs. 48,999 for the base-end 6GB/128GB model. The mid-end 8GB/256GB variant is priced at Rs. 52,999 and the top-end 12GB/256GB variant is listed at Rs. 57,999.
