Samsung is expanding its 'SmartThings' line of connected gadgets with three new products - a camera, Wi-Fi smart plug, and smart bulb.
The products are aimed at making your home more secure than ever and will be available starting today via Samsung's own website and several other retailers.
Here's everything you need to know about them.
SmartThings Cam for home security
Samsung is making its first move in the home security category with SmartThings Cam.
The device comes with HDR capabilities and captures 145-degree-wide full-HD videos.
It packs night vision and object-detection capabilities, which allow the owner to customize notifications for things like pet movement on the couch; you can even configure it to monitor specific areas at home.
Two-way audio and no need of SmartThings hub
Samsung's smart camera supports two-way audio, which allows the owner to converse with anyone who is at home using SmartThings app. The device doesn't need SmartThings hub to function, but adding it into the loop gives the ability to make it work with other appliances.
SmartThings Wi-Fi Smart Plug
In addition to the smart camera, Samsung has added a Wi-Fi Smart Plug into its range of connected SmartThings.
The gadget works with lamps, small appliances, and other electronic devices at home and gives you the ability to control them with one touch or voice commands powered by Alexa, or Google Assistant.
To note, you can even set a timer to control these devices.
