Surpassing McCullum's tally of 1006 runs, Kohli has now accrued 1016 runs in T20I chases, the most by any batsman.
He is now third on the list of leading run-getters in T20Is behind McCullum and Tillakaratne.
Kohli now has 6907 runs in T20s, the most by an Indian.
Whitewash and Dhoni records
