The Spaniard cruised to a 6-3, 6-3, 6-4 victory over first-time major finalist Anderson.
Having won the French Open earlier, Nadal has now won two Slams in the same year for the first time since 2013.

With today's win, Nadal has now won 16 Grand Slams. He has 10 French Open titles, 3 US Open, 2 Wimbledon Championships and 1 Australian Open to his name.
Nadal dominant throughout final
Going into the final, Nadal had a 4-0 head-to-head record against Anderson, and he dominated him once again.
He lost only 15 points on serve and did not face a break point in the entire match.
The result means this year's major titles got shared between Nadal and Federer, who remains at the top of the men's all-time Grand Slam list with 19 titles.
