Nadal wins his third US Open title

Rafael Nadal defeated South Africa's Kevin Anderson to win his third US Open and 16th Grand Slam title in a one-sided affair in New York on Sunday.

The Spaniard cruised to a 6-3, 6-3, 6-4 victory over first-time major finalist Anderson.

Having won the French Open earlier, Nadal has now won two Slams in the same year for the first time since 2013.

He lost only 15 points on serve and did not face a break point in the entire match.
