BCCI's top officials CK Khanna, Aniruddh Chaudhry and Amitabh Choudhary were present in the SC after they were summoned by the top court for their alleged intervention in preparing the constitution of the BCCI. They have been exempted from appearing in the next hearing.
While submitting the draft, amicus curiae Gopal Subramanium told the SC committee of Chief Justice Dipak Misra, Justice Khanwilkar and Justice Chandrachud that the reforms suggested by the Lodha Committee have been incorporated in the constitution.
After avoiding the implementation of Lodha Panel reforms for months, the BCCI has finally submitted its new drafted constitution.
If the cricketing body says that the reforms suggested by the Justice RM Lodha and his committee have been included in the draft, the apex court should not have any problems giving its final decision on the long pending case.
