Man United pip City to sign Alexis Sanchez
The Chilean had just 6 months left on his Arsenal contract, but Jose Mourinho is desperate to get hold of his man after a recent string of poor performances.
Manchester City were also in the race to sign him, but they backed out since they were not willing to fork out money for a player they could sign for free after his contract expires.
Chelsea lose out on Sanchez
Chelsea were also in the race to sign the man, who has been Arsenal's key figure since his transfer from Barcelona in 2014.
However, the Roman Abramovich owned club could not finance the deal.
Arsenal have also lost Theo Walcott, who signed a contract with Everton for a £20 million transfer fee.
