Sreesanth hands India their first Test victory in South Africa

India claimed their first Test victory in South Africa in 2006.

After losing the ODI series 0-4, India bounced back in style in the first Test at the Wanderers.

After a solid display with the bat, Sreesanth sliced through the Proteas to bowl them out for 84 in the first innings.

Eventually, India tasted victory for the first time with a 123 run triumph.

India's first T20I triumph

India's first T20I triumph also came in South Africa.

On 1st December 2006, India took on South Africa in their first T20I at Johannesburg.

The hosts opted to bat first and managed 126/9.

In reply, Sehwag got India off to a flying start and Dinesh Mongia and Dinesh Karthik wrapped up the victory for India with 6 wickets and a ball to spare.

September 24, 2007 is clearly etched in the memory of Indian fans.

It was this iconic day when India beat Pakistan in an epic final in Johannesburg, to win the inaugural edition of the World T20.

Misbah stood between India and victory.

With 13 to win from the final over, Dhoni put his faith in Joginder Sharma who set up a 5 run victory.
