Muzumdar's playing career
The 43-year-old former Mumbai player scored a bagful of runs during his days and helped Mumbai perform well in the domestic tournaments.
He also represented Assam and Andhra in his final years in Ranji tournaments.
In 171 first-class matches, Muzumdar amassed 11,167 runs at an average of 48.13.
The right-handed batsman slammed 30 centuries with a top score of 260 runs.
What will Amol bring as a coach?
Back in his days, Amol never got a chance in the Indian team since Team India had 'Fab Four'. But his captaincy experience and run scoring ability will be of help to the RR squad, especially since he knows Indian conditions well.
