When Harry Kane stole the show
Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane broke former Newcastle United forward Alan Shearer's record of scoring the most Premier League goals in a calendar year.
Kane achieved the feat on December 26, 2017, after reaching his 39th goal of the year.
Shearer had 36 to his name for Blackburn Rovers in 1995.
Shearer congratulated Kane post his record which had remained intact for 22 years.

Kane's three goals against Southampton on Boxing Day saw the player score his 6th calendar year hat-trick in the Premier League which is the best ever in the history of the game.

Liverpool versatile forward Mohamed Salah has left no stones unturned in a record-breaking season.
He broke Didier Drogba's record (29) of becoming the first African to score 30 goals in an EPL campaign.
He also scripted the record of scoring in most appearances in a 38-game EPL season with 22 to his name.
He can become the first Egyptian to bag the Golden Boot.

Arsenal's loss against Newcastle on April 15, 2018 was their fifth successive defeat in away league games and was the first such instance since 1984.
The 2017-18 title was decided at Old Trafford. It was the fifth time this has happened.

Manchester City's players lead the assist chart. Kevin de Bruyne (15) is followed by Leroy Sane (12) and David Silva (11). This a rare feat where three players from the same club top the assists list.

This is for the second time in a row that Kevin de Bruyne is set to finish as the player with most assists.
