New Zealand captain Kane Williamson made history by becoming the youngest player to score a hundred against all other 9 test nations.

Williamson's 113, a 14th test century, came during New Zealand's second test against New Zealand in Bulawayo.

He joined the elite list of 12 other players, who achieved this feat which includes two Indians - Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid.

Kane Williamson was born on 8th Aug 1990, in Tauranga, Bay of Plenty, New Zealand.

Raised in a sports loving family, Kane took to cricket in school days and represented Northern Districts at U-17 level.

Kane made his first-class cricket debut in 2007 against Auckland.

He went on to captain the New Zealand team in the 2008 U-19 World Cup.

Maiden ODI, Test centuriesPlaying for the national side

Kane Williamson was chosen to play for the New Zealand national team in 2010, when he made his ODI and Test debut against India.

He scored his maiden ODI 100 in Oct 2010, against Bangladesh. Kane became a team regular after this innings.

He also scored his first test century the same year, during his first match against India, in Ahmedabad.

Rise to captaincy

Kane Williamson was first appointed the stand-in ODI captain of New Zealand in 2012, replacing an injured Ross Taylor, in a series against West Indies. He became New Zealand's youngest ODI captain.

After Brendon McCullum's retirement, Williamson was the natural choice to lead the Black Caps.

He took over as the full-time captain for the Kiwis at T20 World Cup 2016 in India.

Involvement in World Cups

Kane, a right-handed batsman is also a part-time offspinner. He was part of the 2011 and 2015 editions of ICC World Cup and the T20 World Cup's including 2012, 2014 and 2016.
