Cristiano Ronaldo stunned many fans across the world after ending his nine-year stay at Real Madrid to join Serie A champions Juventus in a 4-year deal.
Many thought that the relation between the Portuguese and Real president Florentino Perez had soured and that was the reason behind the move.
But now the Spanish club is all set to honor the former Manchester United player.
Real to invite CR7 and Juventus at Bernabeu
Champions League winners Real Madrid have decided to honor their most successful player by inviting him and his new club Juventus at the Santiago Bernabeu in 2019.
Los Blancos want Ronaldo and Juventus to come and take part in the Bernabeu Trophy.
This, in turn, will really light up the Bernabeu with fans coming in to watch their all-time hero.
Real have honored its legends
Real have honored their legends in the past, as Raul's Al-Sadd team was invited to play at the Bernabeu in 2013. The club invited former goal-keeper Iker this year, but due to the pre-season schedule, his club FC Porto couldn't make it.
Ronaldo a legend at Real Madrid
Ronaldo won a host of trophies with Real which included 4 Champions League titles besides two league honors.
He also won 4 FIFA Club World Cups and the same number of UEFA Super Cup trophies.
The player had joined Real from Manchester United in 2009 after in a £80 million deal.
He scored 451 goals and is Real's all time record goal-scorer.
Ronaldo is Juve's most expensive transfer
Ronaldo became a record signing for Juventus. Earlier the Old Lady of Turin had paid £75.6 mn for Gonzalo Higuain. Ronaldo eclipsed that by a mile after a £88 million move to Turin. Real had stated that Bernabeu will always be CR7's home.
