The 'Little Magician' won his first La Liga title in 2004-05 while playing alongside another legend, Ronaldinho.
He has won a record 5 Ballon d'Ors alongside Ronaldo. He also has a record 5 Golden Shoes to his name.
Messi and Barca have won two trebles in 2008-09 and 2014-15, a record unmatched in football history.

After Iniesta's departure, Messi has been named the captain of Barcelona for the 2018-19 season.
As per the rules, Barcelona have named their four captains who will lead the squad- Messi will be followed by Sergio Busquets, Gerard Pique and Sergi Roberto.
All four captains are graduates from Barcelona's academy, La Masia.
