#GamingBytes: All about the new season of Rainbow Six Siege
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege will start the season 3 of year three really soon.
Operation Grim Sky will kick-start the season and will be available to players from September 4.
Notably, Ubisoft has already made the expansion available on the test servers for those who want to take a sneak-peek and provide feedback.
Ubisoft has made significant changes. Read to know about them.
Meet the Operators: No-nonsense Brit with a shield
The two new members joining the Urban Tactical Response Team or Grim Sky, have different capabilities.
One of the operators is Clash. She is a 'Defender' hailing from Great Britain and notably the first 'Defender' in-game to have a shield. Her shield also comes with a taser.
She's been described as a no-nonsense tough Police officer with expertise in snatch-squad tactics and mob behavior.
Meet the Operators: Tactical master with mysterious past
Maverick is an American and is handy at wielding a stun grenade and blowtorch.
He is categorized as an 'Attacker' due to his expertise in tactical operations and the surgical precision, with which he executes them.
Despite being exposed to the worst in Kabul, Maverick fell for the place. Not much is known about his past.
He is an enigmatic member of the team.
Strategies will change with change in maps
One of their first maps, Hereford Base is getting a major overhaul.
This will mark the first time, where the development team has overhauled a map in the game.
The changes being brought include a larger surface area on each floor of Hereford Base and more destructible walls.
Notably, new hatches and staircases are being added to grant players more mobility in the map.
Other changes you should know
Siege is making other changes like fixing the 'weapon sight misalignment', adding a wall near the gas station spawn point. The last addition will prevent players from being killed immediately after spawning. They are also adding a bomb site to the Tellers and Archives map.
