September 19, 2007 is a day that will forever remain special for cricket fans for the feat, which Yuvraj Singh had notched.

The stylish batsman had set Kingsmead, Durban on fire 11 years ago.

He went on to smash six sixes in an over off Stuart Broad as he guided India to a stunning win in the World Twenty20.

The massacre started in the 19th over of India's innings.

The Men in Blue were 171/3, at that stage, with Yuvi and MS Dhoni on the crease.

Prior to that, an over back, Yuvi had hit Andre Flintoff for boundaries and some words were exchanged which turned into an altercation.

The umpires had to step in and pacify both these players.

Broad then faced the brunt of a charged up Yuvi.

His first ball was smashed over cow corner. The next one sailed over backward square leg region.

The third six was over the cover region.

Broad then bowled a full toss and Yuvi this time belted him over point.

The next two sixes were over deep midwicket and wide long-on.

Yuvraj smashed a 12-ball fifty in that game which till now remains the fastest half-century in T20Is.

He ended up scoring 58 runs off 16 balls.

Indian put up a mammoth score of 218/4.

England tried matching India but fell short by 18 runs.

Yuvi's heroics changed the landscape of T20 cricket.

That was the maiden T20 World Cup.

Few batsmen in this league

Yuvi's record is still intact in this format. Earlier, in the same year, during the 50-over World Cup, former South African batsman Gibbs had hit six sixes against the Netherlands. Yesteryear stalwarts Sobers and Shastri had amassed the feat in domestic cricket.
