After defeating Pakistan 3-2 in the previous game, India will take on China today at the 2016 Asian Hockey Champions Trophy in Malaysia.

India have won two of their three previous matches while China have won just one of the three games played.

South Korea register a win against China

In the only encounter of the day, South Korea registered their first win of the tournament against China to strengthen their semi-final berth.

With a 5-3 win against China, Korea are now on the third spot on the points table.

After trailing 1-5, China could not give a stiff competition to Korea even after scoring two goals in 43rd and 55th minute.

Indian hockey team coach Roelant Oltmans said that Indian team cannot take China lightly. Ahead of the match, he added, "We need to raise our game further. Make no mistake, China can give a tough contest."
