Manchester United reportedly identify Juventus footballer to exchange for Pogba
Transfer rumors are doing the rounds, and Manchester United's name has come up inevitably.
It has been speculated that Paul Pogba is not happy with how his career has been going at United, and wants out.
Interestingly, his former club Juventus, among others, are interested in him.
Now, new speculations say United have identified the Juventus star they want in the exchange deal.
Barcelona were also apparently interested in Pogba
Spanish giants Barcelona had also shown their interest in the World Cup winning Frenchman, but a bid was reportedly rejected by United in the summer.
The Catalans were so interested in acquiring his services that Pogba was believed to being scouted by Blaugrana throughout this season.
However, now his old club are being considered the forerunners in obtaining his services.
Who is the Juventus player United want in exchange?
Juventus left-back Alex Sandro's name has come up as the man Manchester United are aiming to acquire in their ranks if they go for a swap.
It has been reported that United scouts had paid a visit to the Young Boys vs Juventus match to keep a close tab on the Brazilian defender's performance.
He was recently linked with a Chelsea transfer as well.
Why does Pogba want to leave Manchester United?
Pogba's time at Manchester United is not going smoothly at all, with him being in the news throughout the season for fallouts with manager Jose Mourinho.
Moreover, United are putting up a poor show this season, losing matches their quality demands they should win.
United even squandered away a chance to top their Champions League group after losing to Valencia recently.
Will Alex Sandro be beneficial for Manchester United?
The Brazilian has been playing with Juventus since 2015 and has been a constant presence at their defense in their consecutive Serie A triumphs.
United are indeed suffering from a markedly poor defense, and the inclusion of a defender like him who creates counterattacks and reads the game wisely can surely help boost Mourinho's side.
Time will tell if these speculations become reality.
