He went past Dravid, after scoring 82 in the first innings of the ongoing third Test.

Kohli became the fastest to 1,000 runs in ODIs in this calendar year. He took just 11 innings.

He became the fifth Indian to reach 10,000-plus career runs in ODIs and only the 13th player in history of the game.

Kohli took the least number of innings (205) to score 10,000 runs in ODIs.

He eclipsed Sachin Tendulkar's record, who had taken 259 innings.

Kohli became only the second player ever to score three consecutive ODI tons against West Indies, the first being Babar Azam. However, he was also the first to do so against two opponents, having preyed on Lanka before.
