CoA chief Vinod Rai recommends two-match ban on Pandya, Rahul
Committee of Administrators (CoA) chief Vinod Rai has recommended a two-match ban on Indian cricketers Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul.
This comes after CoA member Diana Edulji had expressed her about banning these two.
The two cricketers faced the wrath of public regarding the statements they made on popular chat show Koffee With Karan.
The CoA had issued a showcause notice earlier on Wednesday.
Edulji had asked for Pandya, Rahul to be banned
Earlier, Pandya had taken to Twitter to apologize for his comments.
Reports had stated that he had responded to the board regarding his comments on the chat show.
Meanwhile, Rahul failed to response to the board.
CoA member Edulji called for these two cricketers to be banned.
She felt that their primary responsibility is to represent the country.
'Comments like these don't show anyone in good light'
A source said, "Cricketers over the years, even while bonding with film stars, have maintained their distance for the simple reason that their primary role is representing the country. Comments like these don't show anyone in good light. This is sad."
The two cricketers are right now in Australia and were preparing for the ODI series against the Aussies.

Pandya's Twitter apology not enough for CoA
Pandya has been dominating the news. He has found himself on the negative side of both fans and the board.
His apology on Twitter did not do him any good.
The CoA felt Pandya's apology on Twitter wasn't enough.
And the body's chief Vinod Rai has set an example by acting tough.
Present and former BCCI officials also seemed unhappy with Pandya's behavior.
What had Pandya stated on the chat show?
Pandya, in his flashy self, sat on the couch and his words were mindless for the most part of the episode.
He boasted how his parents were 'cool' and revealed he told them after he lost virginity.
About women, Pandya didn't have any good things to say. He said he liked to see them 'move' and credited his love for 'black culture' for this.
The CoA has paid heed to Edulji's call
The first ODI between India and Australia is set to be held on Saturday.
Pandya and Rahul will most likely not be featuring.
Pandya hasn't represented the country since suffering an injury in September, 2018.
There were questions on will the CoA and BCCI pay heed to Edulji's call.
And now Vinod Rai has fulfilled Edulji's wish.
It seems a correct decision.
