Five debutants who can dictate the proceedings in IPL 2019

The next season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will start from March 23 onwards.

In the last 11 seasons, we have witnessed several debutants who came in and had an instant say in the global T20 league.

This term, as well, we could see some new faces dictating the proceedings and winning games for their teams.

Here are five such debutants.

Behrendorff

The Australian fast bowler was bought by Mumbai Indians last season, but he couldn't participate due to an injury.

Mumbai retained his services and this term we would see him in action.

He showed plenty of promise for Australia in the recently concluded ODI series against India.

He has decent pace and variations.

Behrendorff is likely to open the bowling for Mumbai.

Hetmyer

Shimron Hetmyer could help RCB dictate terms

Shimron Hetmyer was acquired by Royal Challengers Bangalore for Rs. 4.2 crore.

The 22-year-old has scored 517 runs in 21 T20I matches.

He has been in top gear for West Indies during recent international assignments.

Hetmyer's ability to win close games is noteworthy and RCB, which needed a finisher for a while, have found their man.

The player could become a match-winner for RCB.

The 25-year-old can hit the big shots at will. Further, he can also pick wickets.

RCB wanted a sturdy domestic all-rounder and Dube could be help them deliver consistent performances.

He would bring the missing balance in XI.

Sam Curran

KXIP could benefit from Sam Curran's exploits

Sam Curran is one of the most exciting young talents in world cricket, at the moment.

The Englishman will be seen next in the Test series against West Indies.

The youngster has genuine pace and can clear the fences with ease.

Kings XI Punjab needed someone like him, who can win close matches.

No wonder they forked out Rs. 7.20 crore for the Englishman.
