The WWE Royal Rumble 2019 has just concluded, and there are numerous things pro-wrestling fans want to talk about.
Royal Rumble matches have a huge impact on the WrestleMania, thus each outcome needs special attention.
Here we bring to you details of all the Royal Rumble matches, and analyze how some of them might have a lasting impact on the company and its events.
Nakarmura vs Rusev
Shinsuke Nakamura battled Rusev for the United States Championship
The feud between Shinsuke Nakamura and Rusev has been going on for a long time, of which we might not have seen the conclusion yet.
Their match at the Royal Rumble was not exciting, but Nakamura finally managed to win back the United States Championship.
Rusev hurt Lana accidentally during the match and it can evolve into a new storyline angle soon.
The Fatal 4-Way match for the Cruiserweight Championship
Buddy Murphy, Akira Tozawa, Kalisto, and Hideo Itami battled it out in a Fatal 4-Way match to determine the Cruiserweight Champion.
Though the match was supposed to be a four-way contest, Itami hardly had any participation in the match, and all the memorable moments of the bout were carried out by the other three participants.
Murphy won the match and retained his Cruiserweight Championship.
Asuka vs Lynch
'The Man' faced Asuka for the SmackDown Women's Championship
Becky 'The Man' Lynch is one of the most marketable WWE superstars, and she is basking under the spotlight of her new status in the company.
She was up against Asuka for the SmackDown Women's Championship, and the two wrestlers provided fans with quite an intense bout.
However, Asuka retained the title by making Lynch tap-out to her Asuka Lock in the end.
The Bar vs Miz and Shane
The Bar faced Miz and Shane-O-Mac for SmackDown's tag-team championship
The Bar, comprising of Sheamus and Cesaro, were up against the team of The Miz and Shane McMahon for the SmackDown tag-team Championship.
The match predictably turned out to be intense, as all four wrestlers are amazing in-ring performers.
Miz and McMahon won the match, and now it remains to be seen whether they fall out and lose their championship or hold on.
Banks vs Rousey
Raw Women's Championship: Sasha Banks went up against Ronda Rousey
Sasha Banks and Ronda Rousey were up against each other for the Raw Women's Championship.
Rousey was booed by the audience who were totally on the corner of Banks.
The two superstars lit up the ring and provided fans with an exciting encounter, one of the best of the night.
Rousey retained the title, because WWE has something major planned for WrestleMania.
Women's Royal Rumble
The Women's Royal Rumble match was amazing!
This was the first time WWE held a Women's Royal Rumble contest, and the match was carried out successfully by its supremely talented women in the roster.
While Becky Lynch was not booked to feature in the match, she did make an appearance and to everyone's delight, won the bout.
Rousey won her title and Lynch the Rumble.
Will she challenge Rousey at WrestleMania?
Styles vs Bryan
AJ Styles challenged Daniel Bryan for the WWE Championship
This match was a technical marvel and quite a brutal affair, but carried on longer than it ideally should have.
Bryan, who now plays the heel, has been using his character to its full effect, and combined well with Styles as well.
However, like most championship matches in the Royal Rumble, defending champion Daniel Bryan picked up the win.
Lesnar vs Balor
Brock Lesnar and Finn Balor clashed for the Universal Championship
WWE's guest champion Brock Lesnar showed up at the Royal Rumble to face the number one contender Finn Balor for the WWE Universal Championship.
While everyone expected Lesnar to finally lose the title, the Beast Incarnate proved his detractors otherwise and retained the championship.
The Royal Rumble winner will now surely defeat Lesnar for good at WrestleMania and introduce a full-time champion to WWE.
Men's Royal Rumble
The Men's Royal Rumble match was a thriller
The men's Royal Rumble was the highlight of the show, and it did not disappoint.
From Randy Orton, Kurt Angle, Kofi Kingston to Rey Mysterio- all major WWE stars fought in the match to headline WrestleMania.
Nia Jax found a spot in the men's Rumble, but could not cause much damage.
The winner? Seth Rollins! We always wanted him to get this honor.
