India vs England: 3rd Test Highlights

On the opening day of India's 3rd Test against England at Mohali, bowlers put the hosts in command by picking up 8 wickets and restricted England to 268 runs.

While England's top order thoroughly underperformed, Jonny Bairstow scored highest for the side, with an 89-run knock.

With a 1-0 match lead in the series, India are in a comfortable position going into second day.

For the 3rd Test in Mohali, two changes were made to the Indian side that won Vizag Test. This includes Karun Nair, making his debut, coming in for KL Rahul, and Parthiv Patel replacing the injured Wriddhiman Saha.

England made three changes with Jos Buttler coming in for Ben Duckett, Chris Woakes for the injured Stuart Broad, and Gareth Batty for Zafar Ansari.

Indian side though had a bad fielding day having dropped 4 catches, which provided temporary reprieve to Alastair Cook and Bairstow.

After bundling out England team at 283, India made a good start in the first innings on day two of Mohali test.

Cheteshwar Pujara (51), Virat Kohli (62) and Ravichandran Ashwin (57*) each scored half centuries to take India close to lead.

India lost six wickets for 271 runs as the day ended. Ashwin is accompanied by Ravindra Jadeja (31*) on the crease.

India leads the five match test series 2-0, with next test starting from 8 December.
