Sky is the limit for this side: WI assistant coach
West Indies cricket team will look to complete a 3-0 sweep of the ongoing Test series against England.
The hosts lead the series 2-0 and go in as the favorites for the dead-rubber Test at the Daren Sammy Cricket Ground in St Lucia.
West Indies assistant coach Vasbert Drakes believes that 'sky is the limit' for this young team.
The guys are playing really good cricket: Drakes
West Indies are a young side and the manner in which the players have performed to down England is massive.
"The guys understand the legacy of WI cricket and they want to continue to inspire the next generation of cricketers to play the game. The guys are playing really good cricket. I'm really proud as a former Windies cricketer," said Drakes.
Holder to miss third Test after being handed suspension
West Indies will be without skipper Jason Holder for the third Test.
He was suspended for the final Test by the ICC in relation to his team's slow over-rate during the victory in Antigua last week.
Kraigg Brathwaite will lead the side and all-rounder Keemo Paul was roped in to replace Holder.
Holder was magnificent for the Windies in both the Tests.
Drakes keen to put fear in opposition hearts
The pitch could cater to fast bowling in St Lucia and Drakes lauded the senior pacers.
"The objective is to make sure we have pace. Kemar Roach has really started to mature as a bowler and Shannon Gabriel has the X factor for us. I'm really excited to be part of this squad where we continue to put fear in opposition hearts."
Our take: One expects young Windies to keep growing
West Indies need to be lauded for their spirited show against England. The team had suffered in the tour of India and Bangladesh, but showed character across the two matches. It's a young side and under Holder, one expects them to keep growing.
