2016 Indian Super League - Semi-finals!

The 2016 Hero Indian Super League entered its next stage after the final round-robin match on Sunday.

Mumbai City FC, Delhi Dynamos FC, Atletico de Kolkata and Kerala Blasters finished top four in the points table, reaching the semi finals.

The semis will be played from 10-14 December with each team playing two matches, one at home and one away.

Kerala Blasters grabbed their spot in the semi-finals of the 2016 Indian Super League after they defeated North East United FC 1-0 in front of the home crowd in Kochi.

CK Vineeth's 66th minute goal was enough for the 2014 runner-ups to be through into the semis.

NEUFC had a few chances to score in the match, but were denied by the goalkeeper.

Format for the semi-finals

The semi-finals matches are played in two legs. Two teams face each other in two matches at each others' home venues. The team ranked first in points table faces team ranked fourth and the teams ranked second and third will be against each other.

The first match of the first leg of semi-finals will see Mumbai City FC up against Atletico de Kolkata at Rabindra Sarobar Stadium, Kolkata on 10 December 2016.

They will play second match on 13 December at Mumbai Football Arena, Mumbai.

In 2016 edition, Mumbai have won one match against Kolkata, while the other one ended in a 1-1 draw.

Semi-final 2 detailsDelhi, Kerala face each other in their second ISL semis

Delhi Dynamos FC and Kerala Blasters FC will meet each other in their first semi-final match on 11 December at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi, while the second semis is scheduled on 14 December in Delhi.

It is second semi-finals for both teams in Indian Super League.

In 2016, first match between Delhi and Kerala ended in 0-0 draw. Delhi won 2-0 in second.

Finals to be played on 18 December

The two teams which lead in the aggregates from the semi-finals will meet each other for the finals on 18 December at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi.
