One of the worst things you can do today is spoiling the suspense of a cultural phenomenon.
It enrages people to such an extent that they can even get violent!
The recently released Avengers: Endgame is a culmination of 22 films, and its story has been largely kept under wraps.
One gamer chose to spoil it for others, and was promptly banned.
The player, who goes by the Reddit username Laptop-Guy, was streaming League of Legends, when he gave some crucial spoilers for Avengers: Endgame.
As a result, he was promptly given a ban of 3 days in the game.
The news was confirmed by the gamer, when he revealed the email trail with Riot Games support, where they have mentioned the reason for his ban.
Other players confirmed that Laptop-Guy was indeed banned for giving away movie spoilers.
There is, however, no such policy that specifies an event like this, so we can consider it to be an anomaly.
It is also likely that someone complained against him.
The gamer accepted the ban and said that he was "kinda mad... but [he] completely deserved this."
"A 3-day ban is a manual review, so its likely someone bitched about it in a support ticket. The automated system isn't going to punish you for it." -IZCH12
"Lol, an intern probably got spoiled by reading the submission so he insta-banned the dude"- TheOneArmedWolf
"The Summoner's Code can very easily be applied to spoilers: ENJOY YOURSELF, BUT NOT AT ANYONE ELSE'S EXPENSE"- deyvtown
League of Legends aka LoL is Riot Games' multiplayer online battle arena video game that can be played for free on Microsoft Windows and macOS.
The RPG-like game does feature microtransactions and in-game purchases and mixes a fantasy world with Steampunk-y elements.
It is hugely popular and has players battle against each other (or the computer) as "champions" with unique abilities.
