Russell became the third player in IPL 2019 to surpass 500 runs after David Warner and KL Rahul.
The powerful West Indian also went past 1,400 career IPL runs.
He surpassed Glenn Maxwell (1,397) and equalled Brad Hodge (1,400).
R Ashwin now has 125 career IPL wickets. He picked up his 15th wicket this season. Mohammed Shami took his 17th wicket in IPL 2019, He equalled Yuzvendra Chahal in terms of wickets taken this season (17).
KXIP lost both their openers quickly with Warrier picking up the wickets.
