MI vs CSK: Key battles which can determine the outcome

The IPL 2019 will witness its final tonight, as three-time champions Mumbai Indians are all set to battle it out against title holders Chennai Super Kings.

The final would be held at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad at 7 PM.

While the final tie of the season promises to be an absolute cracker, we analyze the mouth-watering battles we can witness.

Rohit vs Dhoni

A battle of skippers

A battle of skippers

The first and foremost battle, probably the mother of all battles, is the war of the skippers.

Two of the most successful skippers in the IPL are at it once again, while one would come out on top.

Both Rohit Sharma and MS Dhoni have won three titles as captains, and the winner tonight will hold the record for the most.

Quinton vs Tahir

A South African safari awaits

In a clash of overseas players, two South Africans are all set for a big battle.

Mumbai opener Quinton de Kock, who has been their prolific run-scorer this season, would vie for one last domination prior to the World Cup.

However, his South African team-mate, Imran Tahir of Chennai would look to end his run early.

Can Quinton de Kock spoil Tahir's plans?

Battle of two Indian rookies

In another battle, two rookies would be look to raise the bar of rivalry.

MI's Suryakumar Yadav has been in fine form with the bat, being their second-highest run-scorer.

While he would aim to keep things going smooth, fellow rookie of Chennai Deepak Chahar, who has been their second-highest wicket-taker, would look to spoil his party.

Who will reign?

Bumrah vs Raina

Raina looks to spoil Bumrah's party

Mumbai pacer Jasprit Bumrah has been their highest wicket-taker this term, while he would aim to finish on top, before the World Cup preparations get underway.

However, Chennai's Suresh Raina could very well spoil his rhythm at the worst possible time.

While Raina is not a part of the World Cup, his determination to prove himself in IPL could become Bumrah's nightmare.

Malinga vs Faf

While it is not an international tournament, the IPL still features several international stars.

Chennai's opener Faf du Plessis has been in the form of his life, as he is their third-highest run-scorer this season.

Similarly, MI's Lasith Malinga has risen to form since the last couple of matches and would be aiming to cause an upset by uprooting his stumps.
