HS Prannoy won a crucial match against Sameer Verma to give Mumbai Rockets a 2-1 win over Hyderabad Hunters in the 2017 Premier Badminton League.

Prannoy faced Verma on the last match of the day and dominated the whole match to win it easily 11-6, 11-7.

Mumbai Rockets got two points from the Trump match and won their second match of the tournament.

Carolina Marin's winning run at the 2017 Premier Badminton League (PBL) came to a halt in a match against Mumbai Rockets' Sung Ji Hyun.

Representing Hyderabad Hunters, Marin was defeated by Hyun 11-7, 7-11, 14-12 in the women's singles thriller at the NSCI Stadium in Mumbai.

The win gave Mumbai Rockets a 2-1 lead over the Hyderabad Hunters.
