World Cup: Here are records which Indian players can script

The ICC World Cup 2019 is off to an interesting start in England.

The 12th edition of the tournament is set to witness several tough battles.

In the process, many records will be scripted while some new milestones are in sight for the players.

Here we take a look at the list of records which can be scripted by Indian players in the tournament.

Fastest 11k

It seems there is no record, which is beyond the reach of Virat Kohli.

Kohli, who breaks records in almost every game, has a milestone in sight as he looks to become the fastest man to reach 11,000 ODI runs.

Kohli is currently just 157 runs away. This record is currently held by Sachin Tendulkar, who required 276 innings to achieve this milestone.

Second fastest

Can Kuldeep Yadav become second fastest to 100 ODI wickets?

Chinaman Kuldeep Yadav has made a name for himself in international cricket, owing to his ability to take wickets with his lethal spin.

As of now, he has a record in sight as he could become the second fastest to claim 100 ODI wickets, if he can claim 13 more in the upcoming seven matches.

Afghanistan's Rashid Khan holds the record (44 matches).

Indian opener Rohit Sharma, who too holds a number of records, has one approaching as he aims to become the ninth Indian to score more than 12,000 runs in international cricket.

He is currently 74 runs away from the record.

Kohli too eyes a similar record, as 281 more runs could see him becoming the third Indian to score more than 20,000 international runs.

Club 400

Ravindra Jadeja eyes club 400

Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has done wonders mostly with the ball, rather than the bat.

As a result, he is all set to enter the club of 400 international wickets, provided he claims three more wickets.

This would also make him the seventh Indian to do so, as the list is led by Anil Kumble.
