New Zealand beat South Africa: Here are the records broken

New Zealand kept their unbeaten run going in the ICC World Cup 2019.

The Kiwis beat South Africa to notch their fourth win in the ongoing World Cup.

Batting first, the Proteas posted 241/6 in 49 overs (due to wet outfield).

Kiwis then chased down the target, courtesy of Kane Williamson's century. Here are the records broken.

Hashim Amla (55) smashed his 38th career ODI fifty.

He surpassed the 8,000-run mark in ODI cricket.

Amla was the second fastest to the landmark (176 innings).

He became the fourth South African batsman to achieve this feat in ODIs.

He joined former SA players Jacques Kallis, AB de Villiers and Herschelle Gibbs.

Amla surpassed Michael Clarke (7.981) in terms of career ODI runs.

Miller surpasses 3,000-run mark, Dussen impresses once again

David Miller (36) surpassed the 3,000-run mark in ODIs.

He became the 17th Proteas batsman to script this feat.

Rassie van der Dussen scored a sublime 67* and was the top run-scorer.

He smashed his second fifty in CWC 19.

This was also the sixth career ODI fifty for the versatile batsman.

Lockie Ferguson (3/59) raced to 11 wickets in the ongoing 2019 World Cup.

He equalled Australia's Pat Cummins (11).

Trent Boult (1/63) now has 151 career ODI wickets.

The left-arm pacer has 26 World Cup wickets.

He went past Mitchell Johnson and equalled the likes of Mushtaq Ahmed and Morne Morkel.

Boult dismissed Quinton de Kock for the fifth time in ODIs.

NZ batsmen

Guptill, Williamson among the feats

Martin Guptill (35) now has 942 career World Cup runs.

He went past former Pakistan legend Saeed Anwar in this process (915).

Guptill also became the 10th batsmen to get out hit wicket in World Cup.

Kane Williamson amassed successive fifty-plus scores for the first time in Cricket World Cup.

This was Williamson's 12th career ODI century and a maiden CWC ton as well.

SA lost De Kock early, before Amla and Faf du Plessis added 50 runs.

Amla then got along with Aiden Markram to stitch a 52-run stand against the Kiwis.

It was Miller and Dussen helped SA get some momentum.

In reply, NZ showed character with Guptill and Williamson, but lost three wickets for nine runs.

Williamson's fight helped NZ to stay in control.

Kiwis go atop in World Cup 2019

NZ have nine points from five matches and are atop the 10-team table. They also improved their World Cup tally against SA to 6-2.
