Pakistan beat Afghanistan: Here are the records broken
Pakistan defeated Afghanistan in the match number 36 of the ongoing ICC World Cup 2019 at Headingley in Leeds.
Pakistan will look to win their last league match against Bangladesh to solidify their chances of qualifying for semis.
Batting first, Afghanistan posted 227/9.
The Afghan spinners choked Pakistan but they were able to cross the line.

He equalled former Pakistan skipper Imran Khan in terms of World Cup scalps (34).

19-year-old Shaheen Afridi (4/47) registered his best bowling figures in World Cup.
The left-arm pacer now has 10 wickets in CWC 19.
Mohammad Amir (0/41) went past 200 dot balls in CWC 19 (219).
Babar Azam (45) is now the sixth highest run-scorer in the ongoing World Cup (378).
He also became the fifth player to amass 850 runs in ODIs this year.

Najibullah, Nabi notch impressive feats
Najibullah Zadran equalled Samiullah Shinwari to be Afghanistan's highest run-scorer in World Cup (322).
Mohammad Nabi (2/23) equalled Dawlat Zadran to be Afghanistan's highest wicket-taker in World Cup (12).
This was Pakistan's fourth straight win against Afghanistan in ODI cricket.
This was also their third straight win in World Cup 2019.

How did the match pan out?
Afghanistan lost quick wickets at the start, before Asghar Afghan and Ikram added 64 runs for the fourth wicket.
Afghans kept losing wickets, but Najibullah Zadran (42) and some other small contributions got them to 227/9.
In reply, Pakistan were 72/1 at one stage.
Two quick scalps hurt them as Afghans put in pressure.
A match winning innings by Imad sealed the deal.
