India beat Sri Lanka: Here are the records broken

India overcame Sri Lanka in match number 44 of the ICC World Cup 2019 at Headingley in Leeds on Saturday.
This was India's seventh win out of nine league games in CWC 19.
Batting first, Lanka rode on a fine 113 from Angelo Mathews to post 264/7.
Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul's centuries sealed the deal for India.
Bumrah gets past 100 career ODI wickets
Jasprit Bumrah (3/37) was terrific with the ball throughout the Lankan innings.
The right-arm fast bowler raced to 17 wickets in the 2019 World Cup.
That's the best tally by an Indian bowler.
Bumrah also surpassed the 100-wicket mark in ODIs in just his 57th match.
He now has 102 career ODI scalps and went past Sourav Ganguly's tally of 100.
MS Dhoni shines behind the stumps, surpasses Gilly
Veteran wicket-keeper batsman MS Dhoni had a strong show behind the stumps. He took three catches and accounted for a stumping. He now has 41 dismissals in World Cup history. MSD went past Adam Gilchrist in terms of stumpings in CWC (8).
Mathews registers maiden World Cup ton
Angelo Mathews scored his maiden World Cup hundred.
This was also his third career ODI ton.
Interestingly, all three have come against India.
Mathews also surpassed the 500-run mark for Sri Lanka in World Cup (533).
He went past former Lankan legend Marvan Atapattu (523).
Mathews now has 5,625 career ODI runs.
He went past Suresh Raina (5,615) and Marlon Samuels (5,606).

Mathews, Thirimanne script this record for Lanka
Mathews and Lahiru Thirimanne joined hands when the score for Lanka read 55/4.
The two experienced names shared a strong 124-run stand for the fifth wicket.
Their partnership was the third highest recorded by Lanka for the fifth wicket in World Cup history.
Thirimanne slammed a 68-ball 53.
This was his 21st career ODI fifty.
Rohit joins Tendulkar with this magnificent record
Rohit Sharma became the second batsman to score 600-plus runs in CWC 19 after Shakib Al Hasan (606).
The Indian opener joined Shakib, Mathew Hayden (2007) and Sachin Tendulkar (2003) to score 600-plus runs in a World Cup edition.
He also became the second Indian after Tendulkar to achieve this mark.
Rohit is also the highest run-scorer in CWC 19 (647).
Rohit scripts history, slams fifth century in CWC 19
The senior cricketer slammed his third successive ODI ton and a fifth hundred in CWC 19.
He became the first batsman to score five hundreds in a single edition of the World Cup.
He now has 27 career ODI hundreds.
He equalled Tendulkar's tally for most hundreds in World Cup history (6).
He is now the highest ODI run-scorer in 2019 (1,197).

Rohit and Rahul amass third century-plus stand in CWC 19
Rohit and KL Rahul added 189 runs for the first wicket.
This is now the highest first-wicket stand for India in World Cup history.
This was their third century-plus stand in CWC 19.
Rohit is now part of four century-plus stands for the first wicket in World Cup 2019.
He had added 127 with Shikhar Dhawan against Australia at The Oval.
Kohli surpasses Dada with this special record
Virat Kohli became only the third Indian batsman to surpass 1,000-run mark in World Cup history. He is now the second highest run-scorer for India in World Cup. Kohli overcame Sourav Ganguly (1,006) in terms of career World Cup runs.
Ton-up KL Rahul registers these feats
KL Rahul (111) smashed his maiden ton in CWC 19.
This was the opener's second career ODI hundred as well.
Rahul also registered two successive fifty-plus scores for the first time in his career.
He surpassed the 350-run mark in World Cup 2019 and became only the third Indian to do so.

How did the match pan out?
Lanka lost the momentum from the start and were reduced to 55/4.
Mathews and Thirimanne then got along and produced substance with the bat.
Mathews' heroics helped Lanka get past 250.
For India, Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja were terrific.
In reply, India got off to a strong start and that helped them get past the target.
