England crushed Australia in the second semi-final of the ICC World Cup 2019 at Edgbaston on Thursday.

It was an all-round exhibition from the Three Lions against the defending champions.

England will face New Zealand in the finale.

He now has 828 runs for England in ODIs this year.

Roy also smashed his 18th career ODI fifty.

The opening batsman smashed his fourth fifty in CWC 19.

He also went past the 400-run mark for England in the ongoing World Cup (426) in just six innings.

Roy and Bairstow smash fourth successive 100-plus stand

Roy and Jonny Bairstow (34) stitched a brisk 124-run stand for the opening wicket.

The two batsmen scripted their fourth successive century-plus stand in CWC 19.

This was their 11th career century-plus stand in ODIs.

The two have amassed 2,310 partnership runs as a pair in ODI cricket.

They went past Sanath Jayasuriya and Kumar Sangakkara's tally of 2.293 partnership runs.

Starc equals Vaas with this record, Archer shines

Mitchell Starc finished with 27 wickets in CWC 19.

He now has 49 career World Cup wickets.

Starc equalled former Lankan hero Chaminda Vaas (49 wickets) with this feat.

He is now the joint-fifth highest wicket-taker in World Cup history.

England's Jofra Archer now has 19 wickets in CWC 19.

He is the third highest wicket-taker in the tournament after Starc and Mustafizur Rahman.

Steve Smith registers eighth career CWC fifty

Steve Smith (85) notched his 23rd career ODI fifty. This was his fourth fifty in the ongoing World Cup. Smith also registered his eighth career World Cup fifty. He went past 800-plus career World Cup runs as well and surpassed David Boon with this feat.

Smith and Carey script this record for Australia

Smith and Alex Carey (46) were fabulous for Australia and the two batsmen put up a 103-run stand for the fourth wicket.

They became the third Aussie pair to notch a century-plus stand in World Cup semi-finals.

This was also the sixth highest century-plus stand for the fourth wicket for Australia in World Cup history.

Joe Root now has 12 catches in an ODI World Cup edition. He went past Ricky Ponting's tally of 11 in 2003 edition. Roy and Bairstow became the first pair with four century-plus stands in an edition of the ODI World Cup.
